AP Tech Talk: APT AV Image Freeze Capability

Our product feature video runs through "image freeze", a really useful function available within the APT AV PTZ camera range.

What is image freeze?

  • In instances where you may need to have several camera angles but may not have the budget for multiple cameras, “image freeze" simulates this experience by using multiple framing presets. You can switch between presents rather than switching between camera feeds.
  • The challenge is switching from one present to another, which can be disconcerting for the viewer as the camera quickly pans and zooms.
  • Image freeze works by holding or freezing the image on the last frame before switching the preset. Then, the image switches to the new preset as soon as the new present framing is reached.

Image freeze makes the viewing experience better by eliminating blurry shots and minimising distraction.

What’s special about it in the APT AV camera range

Image freeze is usually only offered in high-end cameras but is available across the entire APT AV PTZ range. It’s another example of how the APT AV camera range delivers outstanding performance, functionality, and value for money.

Applications

Image freeze is useful for live events in many sectors, including education, corporate, government, broadcast, and houses of worship.
